Owner | Research Biologist
Nicole has been working as a wildlife biologist since 2013, specializing in bats and environmental physiology and toxicology. She has consulted for industry, government, and First Nations and has led and assisted with wildlife research on four continents. Her first radio-telemetry experience was not with bats, but with leopard in South Africa!
Nicole is interested in the One Health approach to foster functional environments for both wildlife and people. Currently she is researching the effects of environmental contaminants on bat health (genotoxicity, immune function, hormones) to better understand how natural pest control may be affected by chemical use.
Outside of work Nicole enjoys mountain life, gardening, and working with animals.
