Owner | Research Biologist
Nicole has been working as a wildlife biologist since 2013, specializing in bats and environmental physiology. She has consulted for industry, government, First Nations, and university labs, and has led and assisted with research on four continents. Her first radio-telemetry experience was not with bats, but with leopard in South Africa!
Nicole is interested in One Health approaches to foster healthy environments for both wildlife and humans. Currently she is researching the effects of environmental contaminants on bat health (i.e., genotoxicity, infection, hormones) with the end goal to understand how natural pest control may be affected by chemical use.
Outside of work Nicole enjoys mountain life, gardening, and working with animals.
